Using the same diffusion bonding techniques which Carville had developed for the aerospace industry in the 1960’s, Carville went on to develop the worlds first diffusion bonded medical manifold in 1980. The first product was used for blood analysis.

Diffusion Bonded medical manifolds have become a standard in the industry. They are typically used to handle fluids, gases and reagents within point of care or laboratory equipment. Manifolds can be enhanced with a number of additional items such as pumps, valves, solenoids, heater modules, electrical circuitry, filters, etc.
