Production Facility

The Carville production facility is located to the south of London in the historical market town of Dorking in Surrey. The facility is supported by good road (M25) and rail links. London’s Heathrow and Gatwick airports are a short drive from the facility.

The Carville manufacturing facility offers precision machining of plastic components in acrylic (PMMA) and other engineering grade plastics.

Carville supply machined plastic parts and components to customers operating in Europe, Asia and the USA.

To support our customers, Carville operate an integrated computer system which allows the management and tracking of all production from the initial customer inquiry through to the final shipment and invoicing.

Carville maintain historical records on all of the component parts we produce. This allows Carville to monitor customers purchasing habits and ensure we can be proactive in supporting future production requirements.

The Carville production facility is equipped with a full range of programmable ovens for the heat treatment, normalizing and annealing of acrylic and other plastic materials.

Carville’s engineering department operates both Auto CAD and Autodesk Inventor.  These drawing packages allow Carville to review customer drawings and offer suggestions towards design for manufacture and cost reduction.

Carville have a complement of 3, 4 and 7 axis CNC milling and CNC turning machines. These CNC machines utilise DNC links to allow the generation of CNC machining programmes. These same DNC links are used for the generation of inspection programmes for CMM inspection machines.

After the completion of all machining operations, parts are processed through washing and cleaning areas before progressing to a clean area for final assembly, finishing and inspection. The Carville facility is also equipped with a class 7 clean room.
